作文范文
Dear Chris,
Knowing your keen interest in ancient Chinese architecture, I shall recommend to you Beijing, a city with
precious architectural heritage.
First of all, the Great Wall is particularly prominent. When standing on it, you cannot help thinking how
the ancient Chinese could finish the construction without any advanced technology. Additionally, at the heart
of Beijing stands the Forbidden City, which is the largest wooden palace in the world and has a history of over
600 years. In Beijing, you can also experience other various styles of Chinese buildings.
Hope my recommendation can be helpful. And eager to meet you this summer in Beijing!
Yours,
Li Hua
读后续写:
When they saw me,they all stood up and started clapping. Each one of them prepared a gift for me and
hugged me, thanking me for what I had done for them and expressing their love to me. I was overwhelmed
with emotions, holding back tears. More than the physical gifts they all gave me, the most valuable gift they
collectively gave me that night at the dinner table was making me feel like I mattered. They had no idea just
how much this meal meant to me.
A week later, I was voted Teacher of the Year. When I stood on the stage to receive the award, my
colleagues and students applauded me. As the applause died down, I took a deep breath and delivered a speech.
“Thank you all so much for this honor. I’m truly grateful. And I have to say that my students inspire me
everyday and I decide to stay with them all the time.” The hall erupted in cheers and applause again. I smiled,
feeling a sense of warmth.

Text 1
W:If I were you, I’d go to the movie with Susanna.
M:I wish I could. But you see? I’ve got so many things to do tonight!
Text 2
W : It’s so nice to see the animals in large open spaces, closer to their natural environment. I wasn’t
expecting this.
M:I know. Some zoos can be disappointing. At least these animals seem happy.
Text 3
M:We have to go up to London for a couple of days next week. I prefer to go on the train, but I suppose you
want to take the car.
W:Oh, I much prefer to go by car, and then we don’t need to get to the station with our luggage.
Text 4
W:We don’t seem to have a reservation for you, Sir. I’m sorry.
M:But my secretary said that she had reserved a room for me here. I phoned her from the airport this
morning just before I got on board the plane.
Text 5
W:Are you going to sign up for one of the technology classes.
M:I guess we have to if we want to get enough courses and credits.
W:Take the one at 2:30 with me.
Text 6
M:It’s starting to rain. Look at the cloud. Did you watch the weather forecast?
W:The weatherman said we are going to have a short shower with the temperature from 23C to
31C. He said another heat wave is on the way.
M:That’s great. We can go out for a picnic then.
W:Oh no! I hope not. I cannot stand the burning sun.
M:Well, how about going out to the beach to cool off?
W:Good idea! Maybe it’s the only place for that sort of weather.
Text 7
W:Thanks for showing me the computer room.
M:No problem. We are glad when our teachers use this room.
W:So, how many computers are in here?
M:Well, there are 35 in total. But right now, two of them aren’t working.
W:I see. Well, I have 34 students, so it seems I’m one short.
M:I understand. We’re hoping to have them repaired by next week.
W:Well, for tomorrow, a pair of students can share one.
M:Very good. Do you have a key to this room?
W:No. Where can I get one?
M:If you go to the office, they can give you one.
W:All right. I’ll do that right away.
Text 8
W:Hi Joe!
M:Hi Angelia!
W:Come in, please. What would you like to drink, coffee or tea?
