听力原文

Text 1

W: Oscar, do you know why Jessie was absent from class today?

M: She's out of town with her family. Didn't she let you know?

W: No, I was worrying about her. The lesson was important today. All the information will be on the exam.

Text 2

M: I've been trying so hard to find a gift for my sister. I've looked everywhere but can't find the perfect one

W: Did you search the shopping app Taobao? It has everything, and there are discounts available as well.

M: Interesting! I haven't heard of it.

Text 3

W: How long have you been living in Africa? I see that you can cook the local food, and you seem so familiar

with everything!

M: Actually, I've been traveling around Africa for almost four years. Life is amazing here, and I'm in love with

African culture.

Text 4

M: What are you putting on the wall, Jennie?

W: They're posters for our championship match next Friday. I want to make sure as many students come

as possible.

M: Next Friday? I can't wait to see you guys play!

Text 5

M: Hold on, Ann. I've got to sit down for a second.

W: What's wrong? Wow, you don't look so good. How long have you been out in the sun?

M: Too long, I think. I'm very dizzy and thirsty.

W: Well, have some water first.

Text 6

M: Don't look yet. We're a few houses away. Ready, go ahead and look!

W:Wow. The house is huge, honey!

M: I know, dear. After four months of work, the workers and I finished the floor and the rooms. Finally, it's

ready!

W: Wow, look at those big windows.

M: I knew you'd love them. Best of all, we just need to move in our furniture, and then we'll be ready to live

in our brand-new house!

W: You made our dream come true, Vince. I love it, and our children in the future will love it too. Now, give

me a tour!

Text 7

M: I'm planning my two-week trip to Australia next month. I've heard you've been there before. Could you

share any suggestions?

W: How fun, and of course! You could start with a road trip from Brisbane to Sydney. That would take a

good week or so. Then, stay in Sydney to check out the Opera House and try skydiving there. That

would be an unforgettable experience, I promise.

M: It sounds fantastic already. I can't wait! But what about Melbourne?

W: If you have time, check that out too. Melbourne is one of my favorite cities. You'll love the roads by the

sea.

Text 8

W: This black truck seems perfect for daily driving. But how many kilometers does it get per liter of fuel?

M: Around 12 km per liter.

W: I see. With today's gas prices, that might be unaffordable. Are there others that use less fuel?

M: Sure, Miss. But you know, electric vehicles are the future. Here in Norway, almost 75% of new cars sold

are electric. Plus, by 2025, Norway plans to remove gasoline vehicles from the market.

W: Wow, are other countries supporting this as well?

M: Sure. China and Western Europe are leading in the production and use of electric cars.

And many countries, including India and South Korea, have planned to remove gasoline cars entirely

within the decade.

W: It's a new generation, isn't it?

M: That's right. And in the future, we'll all benefit from having cleaner and fresher air.

W: Can I get an electric truck? Or are most of these green vehicles smaller?

M: They come in all shapes and sizes. Let's have a look at the newest models we have in our showroom.

Text 9

M: What time do you usually get up in the morning?

W: I sleep in every morning, sometimes until 11:00 or 12:00.

M: Are you serious? I get up at 7:00 every morning to go to the gym. I work out for two hours there, and

then go to work.

W: Well, I work from home, so I can set my own hours. I usually work until midnight or 1:00 in the morning,

and then I like to sleep in.

M: Our schedules are very different! You're lucky that you get to set your own schedule, but I could never

sleep that late. I'm definitely a morning person.

W: Then we are completely the opposite. Waking up early is so terrible to me.

M: Maybe we should exchange schedules for a week!

W: That's impossible! Anyway, any plan for today? I was thinking of taking a hike in the mountain. Would you

like to come?

M: Sure. Can we go to see a movie afterwards?

W: I don't really like movies, actually. Can we do something else?

M: Okay, but I have to work tomorrow, even though it's Sunday, so I do need to be home at around 9:00

p.m. to get enough sleep.

Text 10
